Welcome to Yoga, Pilates and Mindfullness with The Room 5th – 7th April. This weekend you can explore a multitude of yoga genres, led by some of Norway’s best yoga teachers. The weekend suits everyone regardless of experience and energy level.

FOOD WITH MALIN EKSTRØM
Malin Ekstrøm are blogs and influences with a passionate focus on health, diet and well-being. Sandnes girl is a certified yoga teacher, has her own program on the food channel, is a trained makeup artist and has a bachelor’s degree in nutrition. In addition, she has taken courses in raw food and vegan food, at MK culinary school during the period she was living in LA.
Bringing her home from the US, she has new inspiration and knowledge that has given new life to the passion. And she has a very clear vision she wants to share, precisely that to be good with herself – which has resulted in the work title “Glow on the inside and outside”:
“For me, glow is about so much more than sun powder and makeup. I mean everything starts with the food we eat. A healthy and colorful diet not only affects the body, but thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Imagine meeting the day in balance and with profit? What ripple effects can this have for both yourself and the people around? “

Viggo Johansen has 25 years of experience with mindfulness meditation. Four of these years he lived as a Buddhist monk (1994-1998). Since 2006, he has been working on change processes in groups and with individuals across Europe. For more information, see: www.mindfulliving.com
Viggo has written two books; “Inner silence” (2013) and “Silent witness” (2015), both published on Arneberg publishers.
Jessica is a yoga teacher (ERYT 500), Ayurveda Yoga Therapist, and the founder of Atman Yoga School. Atman Yoga School offers vinyasa + ayurveda yoga teacher training throughout Norway, and certifies teachers of 200 hours level and 300 hours of advanced level. She also teaches yoga festivals all over the US and Europe (including Bhakti Fest, Copenhagen Yoga Festival, Sedona Yoga Festival, Oslo Yoga Festival, Portugal Spirit Fest and Arctic Yoga Conference).
Jessica is known for her creative and unique vinyasa flow sequences, and her ability to make the yoga philosophy available and relevant to the modern yogi. She tries to live her yoga out of math by embodying her yoga by acting with integrity, kindness and compassion. She is fascinated by the meditation process that uncovers the layers of our spiritual being while approaching the Source.

Vivian Choi (RYT 500) Comes from London, UK and moved to Oslo in June 2015. She has practiced yoga since she was 18 and was trained as a yoga teacher from Siddhi Yoga (200 hours), Bryce Yoga (300 hours) and AYP (200 hours). Her specialty is Vinyasa Flow yoga (her second love is Yin Yoga) and her teaching style is joyful, energetic and free. Her love of dance emerges in free-flowing movements. Be prepared to come to the classes to have fun, not take yourself too seriously and enjoy a journey of joy and passion for yoga.

Nina Grønnerød is a co-owner of Yoga Grenland, and is based in Porsgrunn and Skien. She started her yoga journey in 2000 with the Satyananda tradition. Since then she has developed as both a teacher and a student. Nina has taught yoga since 2005, and has been through the years, and still is, a student of many renowned yoga teachers. Her education is Jivamukti yoga (300 hours), yoga teacher education at Alexander Medin with specialization in Ashtanga yoga (200 hours), and Yin yoga (75 hours). The past she takes a 3 year education in the Satyananda tradition (718 hours) with specialization in philosophy, meditation and pranayama.
She arranges yoga retreats in Norway and abroad.
Besides working full time with yoga, she is Bowen therapist and masseur.
Nina is also educated in NPT at the Norwegian Sports College, and has weekly group training hours.
Nina loves music and joy, and teaches good Jivamukti yoga spirit – uplifting music, chanting, dynamic sequences, seasoned with yoga philosophy, meditation and a good relaxation. Let Love Rule
Anne Marit teaches both yoga and pilates and has been teaching since 2005. She is STOTT certified in math and Pilates Room certified on reforms. Anne Marit is also certified YogaUniao and Vinyasa TT at OsloYoga and Pia Maria Kozlowski.
Anne Marit has over the years practiced both Asthanga, Medical Yoga, Yin, Viry Yoga and Vinyasa.
She teaches with a playfulness and wants yoga to be understandable to most people. Everyone should be able to feel the feeling of a body free of pain and a body that one can feel strong and free in. Freedom in the body also gives freedom in mind.
Karina Eline Kibsgård
Karina Eline Kibsgård has taught yoga since 2008 and today teaches at several yoga studios in Oslo. Her background is mainly from dance, Asthanga Yoga and Jivamukti Yoga. She was introduced to yoga through her studies at The Norwegian Ballet School and is today 800h Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teachers in Scandinavia. In 2014, she lived for a period in NYC and completed her apprenticeship at Jivamukti Yoga School New York. At least twice a year she travels back to and deepens her own practice with her main teachers, David Life, Sharon Gannon. In addition, she has completed a 200-hour yoga teacher education with R. Alexander Medin, specialization in Ashtanga Yoga and philosophy at Puro Yoga in Oslo. Karina has broad teaching experience from dance, training, PT and 10 years as a yoga teacher. Beside and offering regular classes in the Oslo area she travels and holds workshops / immersions. She has taught at, among other things, Norway’s Yoga Festival, Oslo Yoga Festival, Movement Arts Festival Oslo, Praque Spirit Festival, Arctic Yoga Conference, Yogaweekend.no and YogaFusion. She has had short engagements with workshops for children and young people in primary and lower secondary school, students at the Norwegian School of Sports and the project www.backinthering.no , which offers free yoga to people with addiction. In addition to working full time as a yoga teacher, in the autumn of 2018 she has begun to study for a Master of Special Education, with a desire to bring yoga into several arenas in our society.
In the teaching, Karina emphasizes the holistic and holistic in yoga. The physical practice in the splendid association with the philosophical and mental perspective; devotion, consciousness and goodness. Her classes contain elements such as chanting, music, playful and physically challenging asana sequences. Yin Yoga Bliss – Silje
Yoga bliss er en klasse som har som mål å gi kropp og sinn en velfortjent pause fra en hektisk hverdag.
Dette er en rolig time som passer for alle, hvor vi bruker tid på å roe ned. Vi har fokus på pusteøvelser (pranyama), rolige sekvenser hvor vi gir kroppen tid til å åpne opp og slippe stress og spenninger.
Vi blir lenger i sittende og liggende posisjoner (asanas), og vi fokuserer på å la pusten komme til.
Vi bygger oss opp med bolstere/blokker for å gi kroppen støtte og hvile. Det blir spesielt fokusert på å åpne opp i skuldre, rygg og hofter, hvor mye stress og spenninger setter seg.
Forvent en time med rolig og behagelig musikk, dempet lys og myk veiledning som vil hjelpe deg å lande i din egen pust, kropp og sinn. Vi bruker også eteriske oljer for å forsterke praksisen.
Yoga bliss er en perfekt time å kombinere med andre dynamiske timer, og for de som trenger hjelp til å stresse ned og finne ro og tilstedeværelse.

Candlelight Yoga Nidra – Jessica
Join teacher Jessica Winderl for an hour-long guided meditation that leads you into a deep state of relaxation. This class will have dark lights, candles, and a curated soundscape to support the healing and calming effects of the yoga nidra meditation. This class is pure savasana — lay on your back, fully warm and supported. Bring any props you want and make sure you have enough warm clothes; socks, sweaters and blankets.
Restorative Yin – Vivian
In Chinese medicine, Spring is the season that corresponds to the Liver and the element of Wood. So this class will focus on the Liver meridian, which means working on the legs and the hips. We will also do some shoulder openers and end the practice with some Restorative poses to allow the body to process the work that has gone on before. This will be a very grounding, calming practice. The challenge lies in holding each pose for up to 5 mins, allowing you to go inwards, by using the breath as a tool, and begin to observe your body, thoughts, emotions and sensations as they arise. Vinyasa Flow yoga Silje
Vinyasa Flow yoga er en sammensatt yogatime med tradisjonelle og utradisjonelle yogaposisjoner. Timen er dynamisk, men har også rom for å jobbe med teknikk. Fokuset for timen vil være tvister og hofter.
Det legges vekt på pusteteknikk, balanse, fleksibilitet, styrke, avspenning og velvære. Forvent en flytende dynamisk time hvor vi beveger oss gjennom hele kroppen. Det blir brukt herlig musikk, med god veiledning og klare instruksjoner. Det blir en god ledet avspenning til slutt.

This is a fluid all- levels vinyasa practice set to the deep vibrational rhythms of dub beats and yoga music. Invite radical self- inquiry through experiential sequencing where breath, movement, yoga + dance collide. Feel free to let go, and drop into the flow of prana and source. Build heat in the body through connection to breath and strong dynamic movement, and harness that heat and direct it into your intention for class. Ingvild ønsker deg velkommen til morgenklassen hvor Pilatesteknikk vil studeres systematisk og grundig. Her vil du få forklart de forskjellige begrepene og modifikasjonene som danner grunnlaget i teknikken. Deretter bygges det på grunnprinsippene til mer dynamiske øvelser. Timen passer for deg som er nettopp har begynt med Pilates, men også for de mer erfarne. Du kan forvente deg en presist ledet klasse, hvor anatomi, teknikk og bevegelse kombineres. WHY ASANA – ‘Asana’ oversettes ofte til ‘sete’ (å sitte). Yoga – asana (yogastillinger) handler om å skape stabilitet og balanse i seg selv. I denne workshop’en fordyper vi oss i Jivamukti Yoga metoden gjennom kraftfulle og balanserende vinyasa- sekvenser, chanting, filosofi og meditasjon. En helhetlig tilnærming til både kropp, sinn og yoga, for å gjøre oss ‘comfortable in our own skin’.

Wild Woodstock twist asanas – Fred, musikk og kjærlighet!
Vi renser kroppen med pust og tvister – ut springer det en blomst av kjærlighet = Flower Power.
Klassen er inspirert av Ninas besøk til Wild Woodstock Forest Sanctuary hvor Sharon Gannon og David Life, hennes lærere i Jivamukti yoga bor.
I år er det 50 siden festivalen fant sted.

Yin Yoga spesial – Ingvild
Etter en dag med trening og mange inntrykk får du her muligheten til å finne ro, hvile og avspenning. I Yin yoga holdes gjerne hver stilling i 3-5 minutter. Blikket vendes innover og det jobbes med å få spenninger i muskler, bindevev og nervesystem til å gi slipp.
Timen vil inneholde stemningsfull musikk, myk veiledning, og god avspenning. Målet er en god allroundklasse for hele kroppen.
Dette passer for alle. Det anbefales å ta med utstyr som f.eks pute/bolster, pledd, eller annet du kan trenge for å gi kroppen støtte og hvile.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga – Vivian
Vinyasa Flow is a practice that is a marriage between breath and movement. This class will be open level but will challenge you to match the pace of your breath to your movements as you move through the transitions in the sequence of poses. We will begin by flowing through a short warm up sequence before sun salutations. Then we will build the peak flow through a ladder sequence, so there is a lot of repetition as we build the sequence pose by pose over several rounds of vinaysa. We will then end with a warm down flow and some stretches before coming to rest in shavasana. This class is designed to invigorate and energise you, through the free flowing movements of a dance like sequence, building strength and flexibility for the whole body. Open level

This workshop is all about a slow opening of the heart after a big opening of the hips. Hips and hamstrings will be stretched and strengthened, followed by heart opening and backbends/backbody strengthening. Leave this yoga workshop feeling wonderful, flexible, and strong in the lower body, as well as in the mid and upper back.

Silje Brun teaches daily at Attic in Drammen and is responsible for the Yoga and Pilates department there. She has 15 years of experience as an instructor in both yoga and pilates, and is certified both by Pilates and Yoga teacher. Her background in Yoga was originally Asthanga Yoga with two specializations of 200 and 300 hours, including Alexander Medin. For many years she has participated in many different workshops, in-depth studies and yoga trips with internationally renowned teachers both at home and abroad. In recent years, Vinyasa Yoga and Yin yoga have gained more space, as body and mind have needed another meeting with yoga. Her classes include an experience of working with whole people. Where body, mind, breath and flow merge into a holistic experience.
